
Avoiding fraud and scams
There are no application fees associated with this recruitment process for all levels of field personnel (trainers, enumerators, supervisors, data quality monitors and IT officers). All eligible applicants need to do is to go to https://phc2020.statsghana.gov.gh and apply.
No member of the public should respond to any messages requesting that they contact specific people. The Ghana Statistical Service will not contact anyone and request that they contact someone else. Note that the official channels for information related to recruitment are:

Ghana Statistical Service also will not contact any member of the public requesting money for any activity.
During the census period, all census officials will wear reflective jackets showing the census logo and have an ID card. They are to present their ID card which has their name and photograph when introducing themselves to identify themselves as genuine census officials.

District Data Quality Management Team Selection Criteria
District Data Quality Management Teams (DDQMT) comprise a District Census Officer, District Information Technology Officer, District Field Supervisor and District Data Quality Monitor. All members of the DDQMT must have a first degree or equivalent relevant experience from prior censuses/surveys.

Enumerators Selection Criteria
Enumerators for the 2021 Population and Housing Census must have at least a Senior High School/Senior Secondary School certificate. Shortlisted applicants will be required to bring both original and photocopies of their certificates to their interviews.

Trainers Selection Criteria
National Trainers will be recruited to work in their region of residence while Regional Trainers will be recruited to work in their district of residence.
National Trainers must have a postgraduate degree or equivalent experience as trainer for censuses/surveys. Regional Trainers must have an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience as trainer for censuses/surveys. A teaching background is an added advantage for both levels of trainers.
